Jacob Wollam

Jacob Wollam, of St. Clair township, died at five o’clock yesterday (January 14, 1904) morning of erysipelas fever after a long illness. He is survived by his wife and four children. Deceased was born within two miles of the home where he died in 1823, and was well known in the township and in this city where he had a great many friends and acquaintances. He was a veteran of the Civil War, having served in the Forty-fifth Iowa until the regiment was mustered out of service. He was a member Harte post, Grand Army, of Fredericktown, many of whose members will attend the funeral at Fredericktown church Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be made at Mount Zion cemetery.
