John H Woodward
John H Woodward, 87, retired building contractor, died today at 7 a.m. in the homes of his son, Luther E. Woodward, 471 Mulberry St., following a two weeks illness.
Mr. Woodward was born FEB. 28, 1859, In Washington county near Marietta, a son of Elihu Woodward and Sarah Richardson Woodward, He was married in 1881 to Lucy Frances Pierson of Portland. He lived in East Liverpool for more than 51 years.
Mr. Woodward leaves two other sons, William B. Woodward of Akron and Albert Woodward of Fullerton, Calif., and six grandchildren and three great grand children.
He was a member of the Salvation Army.
Services will be held Friday at 2.p.m. in the Kelly Funeral Home by Sgt. George Bennet of Salvation Army’s East End Outpost. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday and Thursday at the funeral home.
