JOHN YONTZ, WAR VETERAN, DIES
John Yontz, a veteran of the Civil war, died at his home 1031 Oak street, Monday morning (February 26, 1912) at 5:30 o’clock. Death resulted from heart failure.
Mr. Yontz was 75 years of age. Born in Old Town, Md., he enlisted as a private in Company I, Third regiment of the Potomac Home Brigade, Maryland infantry.
He is survived by ten children-Luisa, Hilda and ray at home; Earl of Riverview street, city; Olive, Everette and Mrs. George Clark and Mrs. Joseph Cooper of Martins Ferry, O., and William and George of Pittsburgh.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock this afternoon. Interment at Riverview cemetery. The Rev. E. P. Wise will officiate. The funeral will be in charge of the Sons of Veterans. Wheeling papers please copy.
