FUNERAL OF CARR YOUNG
Rev. Dr. Orcutt Will Come From East Palestine to Officiate.
The funeral of little Carr Young, the boy who was killed in a manner so distressing Monday night (October 12, 1903) by a street car, will be held at the family residence on First Avenue at 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon. Rev. G. W. Orcutt, former pastor of the Erie street M. E. church, but now in charge of the East Palestine M. E. church, has been requested by the parents to officiate. He has consented and will be assisted by Rev. Dr. Lloyd, present pastor of the Erie street church.
All of yesterday the main topic of conversation on the streets was the death of this boy. Expressions of regret and sympathy for the bereaved family were universal. A large number of friends saw the remains yesterday, and all came away with tears in their eyes. The young school friends of Carr were especially effected as they looked upon his body which lies natural in death as if life had passed out in a natural manner. The floral tributes will doubtlessly be n profusion.
