Shamp & Monigold Families of Beaver County
Looking for information on the family of David Sand Shamp & Sarah Jane (Monigold) Shamp. These two individuals are my GGGG Grandparents. Both lived most of their lives in and around Hookstown, PA; however, Sarah is buried at Spring Grove Cemetery so they must have lived in East Liverpool at some point. It appears though that after she died, he remarried a Matilda… and had more children. It is one huge family and I have only been able to trace a few of the aunts and uncles to their date of death and place of burial. I have a lot of information on one of David’s and Sarah’s children ~ Dora/Oran Maude (Shamp) Owens[1] Lee[2]-my GG Grandmother ~ if anyone else is researching her decedents.
I have been unable to locate the parents of David; however, I have found the parents of Sarah to be George Monigold and Phebe (unknown) ~ who seem to be from Lancaster County, PA.
If only PA wasn’t such a burden to research in. Huh
