Metzgar Funeral Services
Funeral Services over the remains of the late WILLIAM A. METZGAR, 73, whose death occurred Tuesday afternoon in the East Liverpool hospital, will be conducted from the late home on the Lisbon road at 1 o’clock this afternoon, Rev. H. G. Wilkinson, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating. Interment will be made in St. Paul’s cemetery, Esther, Pa. The deceased was born at Millport, O., a son of the late Jacob and Sarah Metzgar. He served throughout the Civil war with the 126th Ohio Volunteer INnfantry, participating in the battles of the Wilderness, Spottsylvania Court House and other conflicts. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Wellsville, and has been affliliated with the Masonic lodge for the past 40 years. He is survived by one son, George T. Metzgaz of Lisbon road, and four grandchildren.
