Vincent John Swiger, 36, of Morgantown, formerly of New Cumberland passed away Saturday, June 13, 2009 in Morgantown.
He was born November 14, 1972 in Stuttgart, Germany.
Vincent had 10 years of outstanding service in the United States Navy, serving in the Persian Gulf War and loved to hunt and fish.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Mary Rita Herron and his paternal grandfather, Harry “Bud” Swiger.
He is survived by his parents, Danny E. Swiger of Friendly, WV and Rita Herron Burkey and Martin of New Cumberland; two sons, Joel Adam Swiger of PA and Vincent Michael Swiger of Morgantown; a daughter; Jamie Lee Swiger of PA; paternal grandmother, Phyllis D. Swiger of New Cumberland; a sister, Anne Mare Barland of Roscoe, IL; and three brothers, Danny Paul Swiger ad Edward McCoy Swiger both of New Cumberland and Thomas Michael Swiger of Weirton.
Friends will be received at the Turley Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18, from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Services will be there on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 1 a,m. Interment will follow in the New Cumberland Cemetery.
