CLENN W. HALL, 80, formerly of East Liverpool, died on Wednesday, Nov. 5, 1997, in East Liverpool City Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in East Liverpool on Feb. 27, 1917, a son of the late Simon C. and Bertha S. Wilson Hall.
A lifelong resident of the area, he was a purchasing agent at the Homer Laughlin China Company an retired after 36n years. He also served as president of the Newell Company. He was a sergeant in the U. S. Army 99th Infantry Division during World War II where he fought in the Battle of the Buldge, at the Bridge of Remagen and the Battles of Rhineland and Ruhr Pocket. He graduated form East Liverpool High School and attended the East Liverpool Business College. A lifelong member of the First Church of Christ Disciples, he served as elder, treasurer, chairman of the board and on numerous committees. He was a member of the East Liverpool Kiwanis Club and had received the Kiwanian of the Year award.
His wife, Mabel Virginia McComas Hall, whom he married on July 4, 1942, died on June 18, 1988.
He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Gary (Barbara Alice) Bonnell of East Liverpool; a brother, Alvin Hall of Sarasota, Fla.; and a sister, Mrs. Roy (Betty) Davis of Sarasota.
The Rev. Donald Barnes conducted services at the church. Burial followed at the Columbiana County Memorial Park.
