John V. Aceto, 75, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday afternoon Nov. 17, 2012, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
John was born Oct. 8, 1937, in Boston, to Antonio and Emma (Santilli) Aceto.
John was employed by the Stierhoff Brothers for twenty years where he was a furniture mover. He was also employed by Teamsters Local 20, where he was a truck driver. He was a member of St.’s Peter and Paul Catholic Church. In his spare time, John enjoyed bowling, and hanging out at Star Lanes. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
John is survived by his loving wife, Irene (Pat) (Hemmer) Aceto; three children, Terry (Anna) Aceto of Sandusky, John (Nancy) Aceto Jr. of Degraff, Ohio, and Andrew (Kelly) Aceto of Sandusky; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Dominic, Kyle, and Abigail Aceto; two brothers, Robert Aceto of Norwalk and Anthony Aceto of Chicago.
Including his parents, John was preceded in death by his three brothers; Vincent Aceto, Rosario T. Aceto, and George Aceto.
Friend may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the funeral home.
