Mrs. Calvin Adams
Mrs. Eva Elberta Adams, 58, of 1619 Ohio Ave., wife of Calvin H. Adams, died Friday at 9:50 p.m. at City Hospital after a lengthy illness.
A native of Tuppers Plains, Ohio, Mrs. Adams was born Aug. 24, 1908, a daughter of the late Albert Shields and Pansy Smith Shields. She has resided here 40 years. She was a member of All American Council 287, Daughters of America, and was deputy of District 6. She also had served as a national representative of District 6. Other affiliations included Ohio City, Rebekah Lodge 82 and Ladies of the Golden Eagles.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Calvin H. Adams, Jr, of Louisville, Ohio, Albert Adams and Jerry W. Adams, both of East Liverpool, a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Mary Kathryn) Muschweck of East Liverpool; a brother, William Zykan of St. Louis, Mo., and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday afternoon and night at the funeral home, where the Daughters of America will conduct services Sunday at 7 p.m.
