Isaih Aley, aged 74, died at 12:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon at his home on Bank street following a stroke of paralysis.
The deceased was born at Beaver Falls, Pa., coming to East Liverpool 32 years ago. He was a veteran of the Civil War, having served with Co. G, 78th Pennsylvania infantry. He was a member of General Lyon Post No. 44, G. A. R., and was a former junior vice commander of the organization. He was a member of the First Christian church and was well known and highly esteemed.
He is survived by the flooowing children: Charles, Edward and Frank Alley, at home; william of Canonsburg, Pa.; Mrs. Carl Tatgenhorst and Mrs. Grace Finch of East Liverpool and Miss Emma at home. One sister, Mrs. Emma Day of this city and one brother, William Aley of Wampum, Pa., also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the late home at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon, Rev. E. P. Wise of Aklron, former pastor of the First Christian church here, officiating. Interment will be made in Riveriew cemetery. The ladies of the G.G.A.R. will conduct their ritualistic services at the home at 7 o’clock this evening. The members of General Lyon post No. 44, G. A. R., will attend the funeal in a body.
