ANGELICA, Marlene E., 66, of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away suddenly Friday, May 24, 2013, in her home.
She was born January 19, 1947, in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late George E. and Mary (Cifrancis) Bodrog.
Marlene graduated from Mingo High School in 1964 and also from the Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing in Steubenville in 1967. She was a retired registered nurse, having worked at the former Ohio Valley Hospital in Steubenville; Dr. Sanford Press in Steubenville and finally at the former Royal Pavilion where she was charge nurse. She was a member of the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church; a member of AARP and Mended Hearts.
Marlene was a loving mother, sister and aunt and will be missed by her two sons, Richard “Richie” Angelica of Mingo and Christopher (Maggie) Angelica of Pikeville, KY; a sister, Janet (John) Angelica of Mingo Junction; a brother Gary (Benay) Bodrog of Crofton, MD; two nephews, Jason (Michelle) Angelica of Wilmington, Ohio, and Jared (fiancee Meghan) Angelica of Alliance, Ohio; a niece, Brittany Rankin of Crofton, MD, and great niece and nephew, Ben and Reagan Angelica.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 5-9 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction. On Monday, friends will be received at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 207 Standard Ave., Mingo Junction, from 10 a.m. until the time of the Requiem Divine Liturgy at noon with Reverend Father John Kapitan, Jr. O.F.M. as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction.
