Obituary – Mrs. Isabel Arnold

Mrs. Isabel Arnold, wife of John R. Arnold, superintendent of the Potters Mining & Milling company, died at 7 o’clock yesterday morning (December 21, 1905) at the city hospital. Mrs. Arnold recently underwent an operation at the hospital but failed to obtain any relief from her affliction. She was 52 years old. Funeral services will be held a the home of the family in Railroad street, East End, at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon and interment will be made in Riverview cemetery. The Rev. J. C. Taggart, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church, will conduct the services.

Mrs. Arnold was born in Pittsburg and came to this city with her husband 17 years ago. She had been a member of the United Presbyterian church for a number of years and had lived a consistent Christian life. She was well known in the city and greatly respected for her many beautiful traits of character.

There survive besides her husband three children, Mrs. James Flynn, of Alliance; Mrs. Maude Carr, and Mrs. Homer C. Owen, of this city; also two stepchildren, John Arnold of this city, and George Arnold of McKeesport. One brother, in Dayton, also survives.
