NEW WATERFORD – Howard Wesley black, 51, of 4269 Hawkins Rd. died Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. of gastric hemorrhage at the Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital where he had been a patient one day following a five-week illness.
He was born here June 10 1935, a son of John H. Black and Helen Esterly Black of New Waterford.
Mr. Black had been a draftsman 24 years at the NRM Co. in Columbiana. He was a member of the Lake Mont Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Lee Zeitler Black, whom he married June 25, 1961; two daughters, Cheryl Lynn Black of Salem and Sherry Lee Black, at home; two sons, Roy Allen Black of Seattle, Wash., and John Wesley Black of New Waterford; two sisters, Mrs. Chester (Kay) Inboden of New Waterford and Mrs. Ronald (Faye) Rafferty of East Palestine; and a grandchild.
Evangelist Darrell Hall is to conduct services Friday at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial is to e in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the Warrick-Kummer Funeral Home in Columbiana Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and at the church an hour before the services.
