MIDLAND – Evelyn “Lucy” Doughty Brucker, 87, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2001, at the Beaver Medical Center following a brief illness.
she was born in Fredericktown, Ohio, May 6, 1914, a daughter of the late James Elmer and Gerturde “Evelyn” Bussard Doughty.
She was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Ohioville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Brucker, and a son, Charles Brucker Jr.
She is survived by a son, James Brucker of Unity, Ohio; two brothers, Glenn Doughty and Darryl Doughty of Midland; four sisters, Dorothy Heffner and Mrs. Kenneth (Eulla Mae) Mattern of Kissimmee, Fla., Marian Justice of Midland and Mrs. Robert (Mary K.) Schettler of East Liverpool; two grandchildren, three foster grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pastor Wilmer Olszewski will conduct private services at the Schwerha Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home rom 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
