Edward A. Estep, 83, of Norwalk, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, in Stein Hospice Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 10, 1929, in Cleveland and lived most of his life in Sandusky. When he retired from New Departure Hyatt, Sandusky, after more than 30 yearsing, he then moved to Norwalk in 1987.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served during WW II.
Ed was involved in many Masonic organizations over the years including the Norwalk Commandery as well as local Masonic Blue Lodges.
He is survived by three daughters, Cynthia (Samuel) Krohn, of Arcadia, Ohio, Claudia (Greg) Ernst, of Fort Myers, Fla., and Leanda (Jeffrey) Warner, of Orrville, Ohio; a son, Daniel (Millicent) Estep, of Daytona Beach, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and three sisters, Shirley Halstead, of Florida, Eileen Hammond of Nevada, and Doris Bucher of Washington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn J. (Gundrum) Estep in 2011; and an infant daughter, Sandy; parents, Edward and Thelma Estep; and two brothers.
A private family memorial service will take place and burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
