JOHN P. FAULKNER, 84, of Carriage Inn, Steubenville, formerly of Wellsburg, WV, died Friday, June 29, 2001, in Carriage Inn, Steubenville, OH. He was born July 16, 1916, in Clearmont, GA, the son of the late Rev. Benjamin and Nettie Springer Faulkner. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Beech Bottom plant, a member of Wellsburg Presbyterian Church for 50 years, and a Merchant Marine Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Wellsburg Masonic Lodge A. F.& A. M. No. 2 for 50 yearsl the Knights Templar in the Weirton Commandary; an Osiris Shriner; a lifetime member of the Wellsburg Elks Lodge No. 1553; and elder at the Wellsburg Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Scivinsky Faulkner; three brothers, Rafe, Jack, and Clifford Faulkner; two sisters, Mamie Jones and Bonnelle Headen. Surviving are a son, John Faulkner of St. Clairsville, OH; two daughters, Carole Waugh and her husband, Charles of Mt. Vernon, Oh and Nancy Shannon and her husband, Newt of Steubenville; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Arrangements made by Reasner Funeral Home, Charles Street, Wellsburg, WV. Interment in Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, WV. Graveside services will be performed by the Wellsburg Masonic Lodge A. F. & A. M. No. 2.
