EAST LIVERPOOL – William E. Foden III, age 67, of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly at East Liverpool City Hospital on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013.

Born in East Liverpool on April 23, 1947, Mr. Foden was the son of the late Harold L. and Mary (Reynolds) Foden, and had lived his entire life in East Liverpool.

He retired in 1999 after 29 years of service with General Motors, last working as an Assembler in Lordstown and was a veteran serving with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.

Mr. Foden is survived at home by his wife, Delores (Powell) Foden, who he married on May 19, 1967.

Other survivors include, two daughters, Mary Bach and her husband, Chris, and Teresa Foden all of East Liverpool; one son, Mark E. Foden of Warren; and one sister, Connie Wolfe of Minerva; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Brittney, Christopher, Miranda, Mariah, Markie, Martina, Jaiden and Aubriah; and four great-grandchildren, Glenn “Little G,” Kendyl, Kelby and Nyla.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold Foden, Charles Foden and Freddie Foden.

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Cody Berry of the Destiny House Assembly of God officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery where the Tri-State Burial Group will conduct full military honors.

The family will receive friends at the Calcutta Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
