William S. Foulks Jr., 93

CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio – William S. Foulks, Jr., a long time Chagrin Falls resident, passed away of natural causes March 7, 2015 at the age of 93. He was a man who was extremely proud of his lifetime accomplishments and his ancestry.

He was born in Columbus. After graduating from MIT, he served as an Officer in the US Navy during World War II working on the Manhattan Project. He has numerous registered patents through his work as a Chemical Engineer while working for Harshaw Chemical, Thiokol Corp and General Electric. He is a descendant of the first permanent settlers in Ohio and a long time member of the Sons of the American Revolution.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Foulks; brother, Edwin Foulks; sister, Martha Foulks Binsley.

He is survived by his niece, Edith Foulks; nephews, Edwin Foulks, Andrew Binsley and Michael Binsley.

He is buried at Longs Run Cemetery in Calcutta.

Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home, Chagrin Falls, Ohio, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
