Auto, Truck Collide
Paul J. Frey, 66 Fatally Injured
Paul J. Frey, 66, of 200 Wayne Ave., Weirton, was fatally injured in a car-truck collision at 9:55 p.m. Tuesday near the P.& W. Bus garage at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Angela Street.

Mr. Frey, a veteran employee of the Steel Works Department of Weirton Steel Division, was driving a 1968 auto that collided with the rear dual wheels of a Loreto Formis Co. truck driven by David Crum, 29, of RD 4, Burgettstown.

Weirton police said the fatality occurred when the Frey auto crossed the center line and collided with the truck.

Mr. Frey was taken to Weirton General Hospital where he died of multiple injuries of the body at 1:20 a.m. today.

Investigating officers Kenneth Kerr and Kenneth Higgins said Mr. Frey was driving up Pennsylvania Avenue and Mr. Crum was coming down the hill.

Mr. Crum was not injured.

Mr. Frey was born Oct. 26, 1903, in Adams, Tenn., son of the late Henry S. and Albertine (Ammie) Jordan Frey. He had resided in Weirton since 1923, coming from Adams.

He was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church, Weirton Steel 25-Year Club, BPOE and Moose Lodge.

His first wife, Gladys L. Frey, died May 4, 1968.

Surviving are his second wife, Verna Mae Banta Frey of Great Falls, Mont., one daughter, Mrs. John (Evelyn) Stoica, and one stepdaughter, Mrs. Michael (Betty) Ivaun, both of Weirton; one stepson, William Banta of Houston, Tex., two brothers, Harry Frey of Weirton and Burford Frey of Guthrie, Ky., and one grandson.

Friends may call at the Schwerha Mortuary Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
