FURIOLI, William “Bill” David, of Wells burg, WV, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 16, 1945, to the late Bert and Sara McPherson Furioli.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Patty Furioli.
Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Helen Wiseman Furioli. Bill is also survived by his three very dedicated daughters, Catherene, Dr. Sara, and Jenna (Bill) Sperringer all of Wellsburg, WV and an adopted daughter, Cathy Worrell Michels, of Princeton, WV.; one brother, Bert and Mary Lou Furioli and a sister, Mary Lou Lazear. Bill’s “Grand” children include Sean Geary, Brette Geary, Parker McMahon, Aleya Skaggs, Matt Elcesser, Beau Hudson, Bri Hudson and Cabella Hudson.
Bill was very active in the community with many organizations, but Brooke County Special Olympics, which he got involved with 26 years ago, remained the dearest to his heart. Bill requests a viewing for his athletes and coaches only on Friday, January 25, 2013, from 1:30-2, public viewing will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles St., Wellsburg, WV. Services will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Lt. Mike Michels and Lt. Cathy Michels officiating. Interment will follow at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery.
