Joyce E. Gill, 79

EAST LIVERPOOL-Joyce E. Gill, 79 of East Liverpool and formerly of Cleveland passed peacefully at her home on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014 after a brief illness. She was in the presence and care of her loving family.

Joyce was born in Cleveland, Ohio; on Sept. 16, 1935. She was a daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor Maresh Gute.

Her main emphasis in life was caring for her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Joyce was a member of and regularly attended mass at Holy Trinity Parish in East Liverpool.

For 57 years she and her husband, Tom Gill who survives at home, shared a wonderful life together, they were married on Oct. 6, 1956.

Together they raised three daughters, Eileen Mrkal and husband Milan of Moon Township, Pa.; Jeannemarie Arner and husband Doug of Chester, W.Va.; and Ellen Merriman and husband Kevan of East Liverpool.

Joyce also leaves her brothers, Christopher Gute of Cleveland, and Craig Gute of East Liverpool, her brothers-in-law, John, James, and Brendan Gill, all of Cleveland, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Rev. Father Peter Haladej will preside over a mass of Christian Funeral on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 11 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Parish in East Liverpool. Burial will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park in East Liverpool.

Friends are invited to join the family for visitation at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Friday from 12-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. with a rosary to be prayed at 7 p.m.
