MINER DIES IN BARBER SHOP
Pressley Goddard, aged 65 years, coal miner, died suddenly from heart trouble Saturday night in a Salineville barber shop operated by John Johnson, while he was awaiting his turn in the barber’s chair.
After completing his work on a customer, the barber called “next”. It was Goddard’s turn. He failed to heed the barber’s announcement. The man was dead when others in the shop turned to look at him.
Deceased is survived by his widow, Mrs Minerva Goddard, and six children. Mrs George Hull and Mrs Earl Owen of Alliance, and Misses Mary and Bess Goddard of Salineville; Walter and James Goddard at home; two sisters, Mrs Ann Armstrong of Brownsville, PA, and Mrs James Blazy of Salineville.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the home with Rev N M Weyrick officiating. Burial will be in the Woodland cemetery.
