Summoned Mrs. Martha Susan Grady At Nine O’clock Yesterday Morning
The death angel summoned Mrs. Martha Susan Grady at 10 o’clock yesterday morning (June 12, 1911) at her home on Wood street from an attack of acute indigestion. The deceased had resided in Wellsville for five years, removing to this city from Ripley, W. Va. Had she lived until July 3, she would have celebrated her 78th birthday anniversary. Of a kind and loving disposition she was known to her many admiring friends as “Grandma Grady.” She was an active member of the Free Methodist church, and is survived by the following children: W. C. Grady, of Marietta; Dickson, of Spencer; Sampson, of Jackson county, W. Va.; Mrs. Harry Patterson and Mrs. E. L. Parsons, both of Wellsville. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters; John Brown and Miss Lizzie Brown of Parkersburg, W. Va.; Will Brown and a sister, of Lewis county, W. Va.
The remains will be shipped this morning to Ripley, W. Va. For burial, Haugh Bros. will be the undertakers in charge.
