Albert Grant, 83, of Hillview Nursing Home, New Castle, formerly of Rochester, died Friday, September 29, 1989, in St. Francis Hospital, New Castle.

Born March 11, 1906, in Rochester, a son of the late Domenic and Frances Bardini Grant, he was a retired employee of the Sprang Company, Ambridge, a member of St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, Sons of Italy and the V.F.W. No. 128, all of Rochester.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Halko Grant, in 1964; four brothers, Sunday Grant in 1927; Anthony Grant, in 1938, Charles Bucky Grant in 1971 and Frank Grant in 1962, and two sisters, Rosie Grant and Adeline D. Tatsch in 1987.

Surviving are a brother, Alfred A. Grant, New Castle and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the WILLIAM A. MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 349 Adams Street, Rochester. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, in St. Cecilia Church, Rochester, with the Rev. William Wiethorn officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Cecilia Cemetery, Daugherty Township.

A rosary will be recited today at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
