John Lewis Gray, 77, of Steubenville, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009.
He was born August 24, 1931 in Moundsville, a son of the late John and Evelyn Gray.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Retired from Weirton Steel, he worked in the Roller Maintenance Department. He held memberships with the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club, NRA, AARP, New Cumberland VFW Post 3526 and the Moundsville American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Grim Gray, at home, a son, Troy Gray and daughter, Karen Gray Pitcock of New Cumberland; and a grandson, Corey Pitcock of Weirton.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at the New Cumberland Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home with Minister Dave Detty officiating. Interment followed at the New Cumberland Cemetery.
