Following a several weeks’ illness of appendicitis, William Green, aged 21, a former resident of this city, died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Green of near Calcutta, at 3:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon (January 25, 1912).

He is survived by his wife and a three-months -old child. Mr. Green formerly resided on Avondale street, this city, but on account of the fact that he was employed at the Island Run coal mine of the Tri-State Railway & Electric Company, along Little Beaver creek, he removed to his father’s home near Calcutta, where he died. He was well and favorably known throughout the city and was a member of the Longs Run Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be held from the Long’s Run Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. J. S. Garvin of the Calcutta United Presbyterian church officiating. Interment will be made in the Long’s Run cemetery.
