Ralph Jackson

EAST LIVERPOOL – Ralph Eugene Jackson, of Washington St. in Lisbon, passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014 at the Essex of Salem Nursing Home. He was 86.

Born Dec. 10, 1927, in East Liverpool, he was a son of the late Earl and Iva “Josie” Ward Jackson. He had worked as a molder at the McIntosh-Hemphill Co., until his retirement. He was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Navy.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Cochran Jackson, at home; two sons, Richard Jackson of Chester, and Curtis Jackson, of West Point; sister, Sondra Walker, of West Point; and a brother Ivan Jackson, of Calcutta; 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery A. Jackson.

Friends may visit Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Pastor Joe Cilone, of the United Brethren in Christ Church will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the Tri-State Veterans Burial Group will provide full military honors.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
