Obituary – Alice Johnson

Mrs. Alice Johnson, 59, of 901 McKinnon Ave., a finisher at the Harker China Co., died Saturday (August 27, 1966) at 1:30 p.m. at City Hospital after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Johnson was born here Sept. 9, 1906, a daughter of Mrs. Mary Mader Putnam, who resides at the home, and the late Thomas J. Putnam. She had worked at the pottery for 35 years. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, the White Shrine of Jerusalem of Wellsville and the IBOP.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, John L. Johnson, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Jane Smith and Mrs. Dorothy Ward; a son, William T. Johnson, and a sister, Mrs. Lee (Marie) Webber, all of East Liverpool, and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home by the Rev. D. Ross Salisbury, Jr. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and tonight.
