Angeline ‘Angie’ Johnston, 79

CHESTER, W.Va. – Angeline ‘Angie’ Johnston of Chester passed peacefully at her home on Thursday April 30, 2015.

Angie was born and raised in East Liverpool by her parents, the late John and Mary Forte Capraruolo.

79 years old, she was born on Aug. 8, 1935.

A consummate homemaker, Angie raised her family on Columbia Drive in Chester. Her formative years were spent at St. Aloysius Catholic in East Liverpool. When she married her husband, the late Richard Johnston and moved to Chester, she became a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School.

Sadly, she suffered the loss of her son, Patrick R. Johnston on Oct. 22, 2009. Also, her siblings, Sam, Tony, Dominic, and Mae Capraruolo preceded her in death.

Angie leaves her loving family, Tracy Whittington of Chester, Julie Glass of Beaver, Laura McMillin of Chester, and Scott Johnston of Chester, her cherished grandchildren, Ian Whittington, Kyle and Angie Lowers, Brady Howell and Ally Howell, Nation Whittington, and Tru Glass, her great grandchildren, Dodge Gamble and Kayleigh Whittington, and her sister, Lucy Baer of California.

Father Eric B. Antwi will preside over Angie’s Catholic Funeral Rites at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Monday, May 4, at 11 a.m. Friends are invited to join the family at the funeral home on Sunday when they will be present from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. She will be laid to rest on Monday at Locust Hill Cemetery.
