Mrs. Anna Mabel Jones, 72, of 1068 Oak Street, a retired seamstress and widow of Ben Jones, died this morning at 4:50 at City Hospital after an illness of 2 ½ months.
A native of Syracuse, N. Y., Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 7, 1895, a daughter of the late Isaiah Riddle and Harriett Brassington Riddle. She had resided here for 70 years. She worked for the Arrow Pants Shop, retiring in 1964. She belonged to the Orchard Grove Community Methodist Church. Her husband died Dec 27, 1948.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Kendall (Ruth) Baker and a brother, William Riddle, both of East Liverpool, a sister, Mrs. Ed (Louise) Smith of Wheeling, five grand-children and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Phillip N. Carl. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
