Janet L. (Colvin) Kaufman went to be with her loving Savior on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012.

She was born July 13, 1943, to John H. and Jessie J. (Stark) Colvin in Bellevue. She married Daniel Kaufman, on Oct. 10, 1964. He preceded her in death in August 2011.

Janet spent her elementary school years at York School, attending her high school years and graduating from Bellevue High School. She attended beauty school in Columbus and for a time prior to her marriage, she worked as a beautician in the Bellevue-Clyde area.

She loved gardening and keeping her lovely home. Enjoying and helping people was a special ministry for her. Janet and her husband, Dan, lived and reared their three children in the Bellevue area.

Shortly after becoming a member at Clyde Baptist Church, Janet worked at and eventually became the director of the Christian Wee Care Center at the church. She had also been actively involved with the music ministry as well as other outreach ministries at Clyde Baptist Church. Most recently she was attending Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene. Janet loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart and it was her desire to live for Him and to serve Him to the best of her ability all the years of her life. This she had done, and has set a wonderful example of what a Christian lady should be. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Janet is survived by her three children, Mark (Joan) Kaufman, of Bellevue, Wendy (Ronald) Rohrbacher, of Clyde, and Jennifer Rios, of Toledo. She has seven grandchildren, Joshua and Shana Kaufman, Lucas Owens, Briana Hergesheimer, and Ryan, Melayna and Kayla Rios. There are two great grandchildren, Alex and Darrel Owens. Also surviving is her mother, Jessie J. Colvin; one sister, Nancy (Lyle) St. Clair; and two brothers, John H. (Patty) Colvin and Kenneth (Marian) Colvin.
