Obituary – Rose Alice (Greenamyer) Kerr

Mrs. Rose Alice Kerr, 76, mother of Frank Kerr of Alliance, died at 8 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hannah Kerr Harmon in Massillon after an illness of three weeks.
Born in Salem on September 20, 1865, Mrs. Kerr had resided in Massillon since 1933. Previous to then she lived in Beaver Falls, PA, and was a member of the Methodist Church there. She and her husband, Jesse, who survives her, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary March 25, 1941.
Mr. Kerr is a retired Pennsylvania Railroad employee. He served the company 41 years and was a ticket agent at Beaver Falls for 28 years.
Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Inez Rich of New Brighton, PA and Mrs. Harmon of Massillon; her son Frank of Alliance; a sister Mrs. Ellen Shriver of Los Angeles, Calif., and 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The body is at the Harmon home in Massillon and will be moved Friday morning to the Arbaugh-Pierce Funeral Home in Salem where services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in charge of Rev. J. Lloyd McQueen, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Massillon. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Friday up until time of the services at the funeral home. Interment will be made in Damascus.
