Walter Kerr
SALINEVILLE – Walter A. Kerr, 91 W. Main St., a trucker for the Pennsylvania Railroad, died Wednesday afternoon (Oct. 19, 1955) at his home following an illness of several months. He was 58.
Born here Jan. 14, 1897, he was a son of the late John F. Kerr and Gertrude Tamson Kerr. He was a veteran of World War I, and was a member of American Legion Post 442 and the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Aletha Carter Kerr at home; two sons, Walter C. Kerr at home, and John Robert Kerr of Salineville; two brothers, John Kerr of Toronto, and George Kerr of Salineville, and a granddaughter.
Services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2, EST, at the Kerr Funeral Home by Donald Archer, pastor of the church. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
