M. June Owens
ALLIANCE-M. June (Christy) Owens, 91, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at the Bellaire Health Care Center in Alliance, Ohio. She was born in Calcutta, Ohio on June 2, 1921 a daughter of the late James and Mary (Barrett) Christy.
Mrs. Owens worked as a cook for the former Ross Nursing Home and was a Protestant by faith.
She is survived by one son: Ralph W Owens of W.Va.; five daughters: C. Darlene Pruden of Marietta Ohio, Marilyn Reardon of Salineville, Ohio, Carolyn Lohman of Salineville, Ohio, Joyce Owens of Wellsville, Ohio and Sherri DeLane of Minerva, Ohio; a grandson; a brother, James Christy of Virginia and a sister, Ina Mae Harker of East Liverpool, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E Owens and a son, Ronald Owens.
Family will be present to receive friends at the Wellsville Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.
Private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Longs Run Presbyterian Cemetery
