CHESTER-Carolyn A. Oyster, 67 of Chester, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014 following a lengthy illness.

Born in Steubenville on Jan. 10, 1947, she was a daughter of Eva Overby Ankrom of Toronto, Ohio; and the late James Ankrom.

Mrs. Oyster last worked in the jewelry department at Wal-Mart, and she graduated from Weir High School.

She was a member of Trinity Parish Presbyterian Church in Chester.

She is survived by her husband Jeff Oyster; two sons, David and James; one step-son, Jeff Oyster; one step-daughter, Jennifer O’Conner; four sisters, Bonnie Miller, Linda McKinney, Patty Ricketts, and Deb Kepes, and four grandchildren.

The Rev. Matthew Camlin of the Church will conduct services on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 11 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester where family and friends will gather on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
