EAST PALESTINE – Evelyn M. “Pogo” Pander, 81, of West Clark Street, died at 5:25 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2006, at the Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana.
She was born Jan. 25, 1924, in Ellwood City, Pa., a daughter of Thomas and Myrtle Love Wigton.
She had been a cook in various local restaurants and also provided childcare for many families over the years.
She was prececed in death by her husband, Lloyd A. Pander.
She is survived by a daughter, Donna Rouse of East Palestine; a brother, Thomas Wigton Jr. of New Waterford; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Van-Dyke Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine with Pastor Larry Paxson fo the Faith Chapel Fellowship of Salem officiating.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
