Obituary – Mrs. Margaret A. Parrish

Mrs. Margaret Alice Parrish, aged 60 year, mother of Miss Nell Parish, matron of the East Liverpool City hospital, died at the local institution at 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon (August 13, 1911), following a lengthy illness.
Deceased was born at Bridgeville, Pa., February 15, 1851. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist church and a faithful worker in its behalf. Her life has been one devoted not only to the members of her family, but one which has brought happiness into many other homes. Always of a kind and loving disposition she will be deeply mourned in circles where once she trod. Deceased was a widow of S. G. Parrish. Of eight children born to the couple, four died in infancy and the others who survive, follow:
Miss Nell F. Parrish of this city’ Harry C. Parrish, of Derry, Pa., and Mrs. A. T. Dunlap and F. W. Parrish, of Northside, Pittsburgh. She is also survived by two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. J. D. Arthurs, of New Kensington; Mrs. M. E. Hardein, of Homeworth, Pa.,; W. R. Jones, of Wilkinsburg, Pa., and R. C. Jones, of Cannonsburg, Pa.
The body has been removed from the hospital t the home of D. F. Nellis, West Sixth street, where friends may view the remains between the hours of 7 and 10 this evening. The body will be shipped to Pittsburgh Sunday morning. Services will be held from the later home in that city with interment in the Uniondale cemetery.
