Death Claims City Man, 72

Rites Set Saturday For Clinton Pierson

Clinton Pierson, 72, a retired service station operator, died today at 8:50 a. m. in his home on W. 6th St. following several years’ illness.

Mr. Pierson conducted a business on W. 8th St. for several years. He was born Feb. 15, 1884, in Wirt County, W. Va., and lived in East Liverpool 65 years. His wife, Mrs. Nora Pierson, died in 1922.

He leaves a daughter, Miss Eliza Pierson of New York: two stepdaughters, Mrs. Harry Burrows of Niles and Mrs. Lora Croft of Wellsville, and a brother, Charles Pierson, and a sister, Mrs. Hannah Moore, both of East Liverpool.

Rites will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. Donald Yerington, pastor of the Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery near Chester.

Friends may call Friday afternoon and night at the funeral home.
