Dewey A. Plumley, 68, of 722 Midland Ave., Midland, Beaver Co., Pennsylvania, died Saturday December 1, 1990 in his home.
Born October 9, 1922, he was a son of the late Herman & Leona (Smith ) Plumley. He retired in 1972 from the cold strip department of Crucible Stainless & Alloy Division of Colt Industries Inc. Midland, Pennsylvania.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was a member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 1212, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8168, American Legion Post 481, The Polish Falcons Club & The American Yugo-Slav Club all of Midland, Pennsylvania.
Surviving are 3 sons, Dewey A. Plumley Jr. of Newport, NC, Daniel T. Plumley Sr. of Smiths Ferry, Pa, and Randy L. Plumley Sr. of Pittsburgh, Pa.; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Connard Plumley of Ashton, Mason Co., WV; 2 sisters, Mrs. Ilene Robinson of Ashton, Mason Co., WV, and Mrs. Lee McDole of Martins Ferry, WV (?)
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Plumley; and 2 brothers, Blennard Plumley & Bernard Plumley.
Friends will be received at D.L. Williams Funeral Home where services will be conducted by Rev. Willard C. Adkins, pastor of Smith Ferry United Methodist Church.
Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry, Pa. Full Military rites will be offered by members of the American Legion Post 481 Honor Guard.
