W.T. POSTHLEWAITE; 57, IS INFLUENZA VICTIM.
WILLIAM T. POSTHLEWAITHE succumbed Thursday morning to a six weeks’ illness from influenza at his home on Harrison street, Newell.
He was born in Mason county, W.Va., Sept. 21, 1862. In April, 1916, he took up his residence in Newell, where he had been employed for some time at the E. M. Knowles pottery until ill health last fall caused his retirement. Prior to making his home in Newell, Mr. Posthlewaithe had conducted farms in Wetzel and Mason counties. He was a member of the Long Valley Baptist church of Mason county, having joined in 1891.
The survivors include the widow, seven daughters, Bertha, Dora, Julia, Rhoda, Ora, Visa and Lucy.
The funeral will be at the late residence Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock with Rev. Hinton officiating. Interment will be made in Locust Hill cemetery.
