Retired Farm Operator Dies
Arthur Floyd Pugh, 73, of Chester R.D. 2, a life – long farmer until retirement, died at 4:25 a.m. today at City Hospital after a brief illness. He was born June 24, 1889, in Hancock County to George Washington Pugh and Mary Belle Allison Pugh. He was a member of the Tomlinson Run Church of Christ. His wife, Mrs. Neveda Belle Pugh, died in February 1926. He leaves a daughter, Mrs. Ed (Thelma) Bryan of East Liverpool; two sons, Carl A. Pugh of Chester and Arthur F. Pugh Jr. of Pughtown; a brother, Allen Pugh of Osprey, Fla., and 14 grandchildren. Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester by the Rev. Rollie Riffle. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester. Friends may call at the chapel this evening and Thursday afternoon and evening.
