Kenneth F. Ralston, 82 of Chester a life time area resident, passed away on Monday October 25, 2010 at Trinity West in Steubenville following a lengthy illness.
A son of the late George K. and Minnie M. Spiker Ralston, he was born on August 1, 1928 in Weirton.
Kenneth retired as a clerk from the former Crucible Steel in Midland, PA; where he worked for 27 years. He graduated from Weir High in 1946 and was a veteran of the US. Air Force, serving from 1951 to 1955. Kenneth served his community as clerk for the city of Chester for several years and was a member of the local Masonic Lodge, American Legion Post 121 in Chester, of the Chester First United Methodist Church, and he was also a proud and dedicated fan of the Oak Glen Wrestling program.
He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn G. Pearson Ralston whom he married on Oct. 9, 1948.
Also surviving are two sons, Timothy (Barbara) Ralston, Thomas ( Michelle) Ralston, one daughter, Tammy Jackson and her companion Terry Virden all of Chester, one brother, Thomas R. Ralston of Alexandria, VA; and seven cherished grandchildren, Travis & Carson Ralston, Callista & Conner Ralston, Brandyn & Cody Churchill, and Britney Jackson.
Private family viewing and services will take place at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester with Pastor Phil Dukes of the church officiating, and private interment services will be held at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.
