Clarence William “Bill” Rawson Jr., 42, of Pearl St., New Cumberland passed away Tuesday, Octobere 6, 1998 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh following a short illness.
She was born March 27, 1956 in Steubenville, a son of Mrs. Emma Leona (Blake) Rawsonof New Cumberland and the late Clarence William Rawson Sr.
He was a member of the New Cumberland Nazarene Church, a former Scoutmaster of Troop 67, a member of New Cumberland Fire Department and a member of the Adam Poe Post #3526 of New Cumberland. He served in the Air Force.
along with his mother, he is survived by one son, Clarence W. “B.J.” Rawson III of New Cumberland; two daughters, Heather Chesalavich of Punxsutawney, PA and Melissa I. Rawson of New Cumberland; two sisters, Madelyn Noncrief of New Cumberland and Myrtle Ward of Alliance, Ohio; two brothers, George Rawson and Philip Rawson both of New Cumberland.
Services were held Friday,m October 9, 1998 at 3:00 p.m. at the Turley Funeral Home with Pastor Gerald Gray officiating. Military Service followed at the New Cumberland Cemetery.
