Carl L. Reed, 81

AKRON – Carl L. Reed, 81, passed away Nov. 2, 2012.

Born in Georgetown, Pa. on May 22, 1931, he had been a resident of Akron since 1959. He was a practicing Attorney since May, 1966 and served as the Chief City Prosecutor from 1969-1970. He was a member of the Akron, Ohio and American Bar Association, Presbyterian Church of Chester, W.Va., and a life member of the VFW Post No. 6450 of Chester. During the Korean War, he served 42 months aboard the Battleship, U.S.S. Missouri (Bb-63).

He attended Bethany College and received a BS degree in Business Administration from Ohio State University along with a JD degree from the College of Law at Ohio State University. He was a member of the law firm of Lombardi, Reed and Pierce.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Thelma Reed of Chester, W.Va.

He is survived by his long-time friend, Geri Cushing.

Per Carl’s wishes, cremation has taken place and inurnment was held at Millcreek Cemetery in Georgetown, Pa.
