Charlotte I. Reed, 76

GEORGETOWN, Pa. – Charlotte I. Reed, 76, of Georgetown, Pa., passed away, Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Stone Pear Pavillion in Chester.

She was born in East Liverpool, on Oct. 18, 1937, a daughter to the late Margaret (Lewis) and James Yuker, along with the late James C. Ferguson. She was a 1955 graduate of East Liverpool High School and worked as branch manager for the Tri-State Federal Credit Union in Midland until she retired in 2001. Charlotte was also a member of the Chester Church of Christ.

She is survived, at home, by her husband, Melvin “Petes” Reed, whom she married June 30, 1961; four daughters: Jennifer Tropeck and her husband David of New Cumberland; Melissa Barr and her husband Steve of Chester; Erin Neese and her husband David of Nashville, Tenn.; and Carrie Wright and her husband Jason of Georgetown; a brother: John Yuker and his wife Liz of East Liverpool; nine grandsons: Cody, Kellen and Cameron Tropeck, Steven, Luke and Shane Barr, Finley and Reed Neese and William Wright; one granddaughter: Katie Wright; special nephews: John Ferguson and his wife Karen of Heath, Ohio, and David Ferguson of Cranberry, Pa.; and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter: Margaret Reed; a brother: James Ferguson; and a sister: Donna Ferguson.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at the East Liverpool Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes, with the Elders of the church officiating.

Burial will follow at Mill Creek Cemetery.

Family will be present to receive friends at the East Liverpool Chapel on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, from 2-8 p.m..
