EAST LIVERPOOL-Donald Wade Reed Jr., 59 of East Liverpool, passed away on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at his home following a brief illness.

Born Aug. 8, 1954, in Chester, Donald was a son of the late Donald W. and Ileen Hoschar Reed Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother Richard Reed; and sisters, Vickie Murphy and Kitty Fickes.

He was a graduate of Oak Glen High School class of 1973. Don was a former bartender at The Long branch in Chester and he had worked as a deck hand on the river for Johnson Towing for several years.

He attended Avondale Baptist Church.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and most that knew Don knew that he had a very special love for his dogs

Don is survived by his son Donald Wade Reed III of Pittsburgh; his daughters, Jackie and Nicole Reed of Pittsburgh; his sister Donna Cheuvront and husband Fred of Chester, Regina Gogol and husband George of Springboro, Ohio; several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Keeping with Donny’s wishes no services planned at this time. Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Arner funeral Chapel in Chester.
