Craig Anthony Reis, 75, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Friday morning, Dec. 4, 2013, in Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Craig was born Oct. 1, 1937, in Sandusky, son of the late Norman and Gladyce (Mischler) Reis. He was a graduate of Kent State University, and then went on to receive his master’s degree and his Ph.D. from Bowling Green State University. He worked for WLEC as a salesman, and also taught at Youngstown State University.
He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. In his spare time, Craig enjoyed golfing and all sports.
Craig is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan; his brother, Dennis (Diane) Reis; and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Groff Funeral Homes and Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Deacon Jeff Claar will preside. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
