Dorothy A. (Givens) Richmond, 69, of 720 Third Avenue, Hancock House, New Cumberland, passed away Saturday, October 24, 1998 at Weirton Medical Center.
She was born in New Cumberland on September 18, 1929, a daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Sprague) Davis.
In additon to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James J. Givens in 1970; her second husband, James W. Richmondin 1992; one son, Ray Givens in 1967; two brothers; two sisters and one grandson.
She was a member of the New Cumberland Christian Church and was also a member of the Singing Seniors Group at Hancock House.
Surviving are four sons, John Givens of New Cumberland, Tom Givens of Big Pine Key, Fl, Jim, Givens of Calcutta, Ohio and Tim Givens of
Bradenton, FL; three daughters, Joyce Givens of Indianapolis, IN, Debbie Burch of New Manchester, W”V and Barbara Reppert of Edinboro, PA; one brother, Joe Davis of Robertsville, Ohio; three sisters, Irene williams of Spencer, WV, Ruth Rust of Elizabethtown, KY, and Helen Richards of Salem,WV; twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Services wereheld at 11:00 a.m. on ‘Tuesday, October 27, 1998 at Nixon Funeral Home in New Cumberland, with the Rev. Lew Maysey officiating. Burial at the New Cumberland Cemetery.
