Ritner, Dorothy A. 83 of Bridgeport, died Wednesday December 19, 2012 at her residence. She was born May 27, 1929 in Wheeling, a daughter of the late Louis J. and Alice G. (Fulton) Sacher.

She was a retired employee of Wheeling Hospital, and a non-denominational devout Christian, a participant of the National Nurses Health Study of Washington DC with the N.I.H., a girl scout leader, she worked at Oglebay Park Stables because of her love of horses, she loved music and all kinds of art, she loved her children and grandchildren, also she was a avid supporter of the National Right to Life Organization.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert E. Ritner, a granddaughter Melanie McFadden, and her brother L.J. Sacher.

Dorothy is survived by her children William Bradley (Lynn) Ritner of Orlando Fl. Robert L. (Traci) Ritner of Wheeling, Mary Ellen (Frank) Brown of Blaine, and Alison (John) McFadden of Weirton WV, a brother William W. (Peg) Sacher of Columbus, nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, Dorothy was also loved by numerous neices and nephews.

Friends are invited to a celebration of Dorothy’s life on Saturday December 22, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Wilson Funeral Home 920 National Road Brookside.

Services will be held on Sunday December 23, 2012 at 1 pm, interment in Linwood Cemetery Blaine.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Belmont County Senior Services 45240 National Road St. Clairsville, Ohio 43950.
